WHAT WE DO
WE ORGANIZE AND BUILD
We are weaving together Right to Food Initiatives at the State-level into a National Right to Food Community of Practice and Network to facilitate shared learning among organizers towards a national movement for the right to food.
At the state-level, alliances between grassroots leaders and organizations are taking action towards securing statewide constitutional amendments for the right to food.
WE SHIFT THE NARRATIVE
We are challenging the dominant narrative that charity is an adequate solution to hunger and climate change, and lifting up justice and human rights as the only “true” solution.
WE LEARN GLOBALLY
We are establishing linkages with social movements, networks, research institutions and human rights organizations to learn about and adapt tactics and tools to further efforts to enshrine the right to adequate food and nutrition in U.S. law and policy, and to contribute to the global struggle for the right to adequate food and nutrition.
